I do engineering support at Coca-Cola Enterprises Wakefield in their new automated warehouse. I also work on projects with the team at CBM-Logix. I’ve attained electrical qualifications and am looking to progress in this field along with PLC programming. All my manufacturing experience was gained at Coca-Cola Enterprise where I was employed as a technician. I’m married with two children a boy and girl. My main hobbies are any motor sports really and going to the gym.
I joined CBM-Logix in January 2014 after working at Coca-Cola Enterprises of Wakefield for, what seemed to be a life time. My primary task with CBM-Logix is to service the needs of Coca-Cola Enterprises at Wakefield, looking after any support they require. My wife and I love dogs and we often enter into the “Fly-Ball” completions, this can take us anywhere across the UK.
I've worked in the field of industrial software and automation since 1999. I've gained experience programming Allen-Bradley (PLC5, SLC500, ControlLogix), Siemens PLCs (Siemens S5 and S7 ranges and TIA Portal) as well as Wonderware's Intouch suite and other HMI packages such as Siemens WinCC and Rockwell FactoryTalk View. I've worked for Markem-Imaje Ltd., suppliers of industrial coding and traceability solutions. I managed projects and developed software solutions for pallet labelling systems. I joined CBM-Logix in 2016, managing automation projects, including modifications of existing / replacement of obsolete control systems, development of new systems as well as providing software support for our customers. I'm married with two kids and in my spare time I enjoy walking, cycling and playing lead and rhythm guitar in a couple of classic rock cover bands: I am always at my happiest stood in front of a Marshall amp with a Gibson Les Paul, a band alongside me and an appreciative audience in front of me.
I have been with CBM-Logix Ltd since January 2014, prior to that I worked alongside Buzz for several years at Coca-Cola Enterprises, Wakefield. I am electrically biased but also cross skilled with mechanics. Outside of work I’m always kept busy with several DIY jobs around the home and my families homes. But I also love to follow my passion of Rugby.
I started my engineering life in the quarry industry. Working with crushers and screening units. I have worked in the beverage industry for 4 years and joined Buzz and his team in September 2015. My main working background is in mechanical engineering. I have started to become more familiar in electrical and PLC with working with the team. I work along side project work and give engineering support to many of CBM-logix's customers. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and follow local equestrian sports. Summer time I am never away from my motorbike.
Before joining the team, I had a background in IT support and programming, and now help develop the programs used in many of our projects. I have also spent time providing software support for some of our customers existing systems, as well as general engineering support. Outside of work, I participate in a full contact variation of medieval combat, known as HMB, which takes me all over the country, and sometimes even further afield!
I've learnt a lot in my time being here and I am always learning new things. The guys here are a great team to work with. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my daughter and riding my horse.
